Critique Speak

Critique Competition! ( deadline 12/31/12

We all have stories. What makes one story more dramatic than another? As audiences, I want to be engaged, immersed, inspired and/or taken away. I don’t want your attitude, your clever quips and your psychoanalysis, I want the facts, share your emotional path and empathize  and the story unfolds. I want to know the truth of the story, not your opinion about it. I’m a big girl and I don’t want you to tell me what to think and feel. Show me.

My favorite audience reaction to my plays is when they inspire discussion and debate — not about the play itself, but about the content of the play.
